Using Kveik Ale Yeast in Mead

Kveik ale yeast is great for homebrewing for a number of reasons. When you home brew mead or wine, you really want some consistent and interesting results from your mead. We used to primarily recommend EC-1118, but after several months running kveik through the ringer, we’re happy to say this Norwegian farmhouse yeast is a real winner!
