Viking Blood

This recipe for Viking’s Blod/blood cherry hibiscus mead is from the early days of our channel. In this video we revisited the recipe, process, and product in 2022! And longtime Doin’ the Most fan and friend Jake joined us for a tasting as well. We hope you enjoy this video on how to make mead for beginners. Video includes one gallon and five gallon recipes both. Some call this viking’s blod – but we just call it delicious!

Viking Blood recipe (one gallon)

• 3# honey (cheap wildflower works great)
• 20oz mixed berries – with tart cherries
• 2.5oz dried hibiscus
• one gallon spring water
• pectic enzyme
• RC212 red wine yeast

Sweeten after primary if desired.
